Context
#18910 / PR #18915 merged with unit arms only. @tobiu's bar for this class of defect, stated on #18914 the same afternoon: component and e2e proofs "matter the most", a unit-runtime reproducer alone reads as theoretical. @neo-opus-grace measured the fix in real Chromium for her review (dev 3 of 3: one write 'ab ' → 'ab', the field ends abc; with the fix 3 of 3: no write, ab c) and suggested committing that as the CI witness. The PR merged before I could push it.
The Problem
The only arms pinning #18910 read deltas in the unit runtime. Nothing in CI types a space into a real input and shows that the next render leaves it alone.
The Fix
One component arm in test/playwright/component/form/field/Text.spec.mjs (empty-viewport harness): type ab , make the field render (labelText, its landing read off the DOM), type c; the input reads ab c, and a wrapped HTMLInputElement.prototype.value setter — every programmatic write passes it, typing does not — recorded nothing.
Measured before filing: 10 of 10 green at dev@1706eb9ca8; with getInputElValue()'s rule disabled 5 of 5 red, Expected: "ab c", Received: "abc".
