Context

The flagship film's dialogue (attempt 3, #15252: Emmy's measured clips A3-E-02, my fit A3-M-02 and its correction) binds eighteen spoken lines to the screenplay's beats under the 23 September inversion: speech rides the motion, a hold inside a gesture stays under 1.5 s, a cue-free pause under 1 s, and no pause grows to fit a line (#19124 was withdrawn for exactly that). Against the recorded clock of the accepted take at 5b69fc1dac, two boundaries can take their lines with changes that stay inside those rules, and only those two:

  • the showcase's two target previews are each held 0.7 s, too short for the viewer to read the choice that M07 ("It could split the matrix, or join the feed.", 3.4 s) narrates from the first preview; and
  • the split in the history scene has no breath at all before the restore, so M09 ("Tear it apart.", 1.5 s) lands on top of the next operation.

The Problem

apps/workstation/tour/fiveBeatFilm.mjs is the narrative authority: the cut re-paces around the captured gestures and never the reverse, so a line that does not fit the recorded picture is cut or rebound — unless the picture itself can legitimately hold. A dwell over a drop target is a hold inside a gesture the screenplay already budgets at up to 1.5 s (the morph's born hold is 1.5 s for the same reason: long enough to read "that is a window"); a one-second cue-free pause after an outcome is the cap the unit arm pins. Both changes are reading time for the picture, not padding for the voice.

The Architectural Reality

The showcase step's cue (cross-zone-showcase, options.dwellDelay: 700, fiveBeatFilm.mjs the film-showcase scene) drives two dwells (edge-bottom on scale-tabs, tab-into on bottom-tabs) before the commit; the executor honours dwellDelay per dwell. The history scene runs perspective-capture → the splitNode op → perspective-restore with no pause step between the op and the restore. The unit arm fiveBeatFilm.spec.mjs pins: holds inside gestures ≤ 1500 ms, cue-free pauses ≤ 1000 ms outside the close, the close ≤ 2000 ms, the targetSeconds sum = 97. WorkstationFilmTourNL.spec.mjs witnesses the receipts (the showcase's cue log, the perspective's membership), not durations.

Design authority: the screenplay's own header, "The picture sets the pace: a hold inside a gesture is at most 1.5 s, a cue-free pause at most 1 s" — both changes sit inside it.

The Fix

In apps/workstation/tour/fiveBeatFilm.mjs:

  1. film-showcase: options.dwellDelay 700 → 1500 (each preview held 1.5 s; the join stays silent and unchanged).
  2. film-perspectives-undo: a cue-free pause step of 1000 ms after the splitNode op, captioned as the room torn apart, before the restore. No targetSeconds change (the showcase's 12 s and the history's 14 s budgets absorb +1.6 s and +1 s). The unit arm gains two pins: the showcase dwell is a hold under the 1.5 s cap, and the split is followed by a cue-free pause at the cap. The headless film tour (autoGates arm) stays green.

Acceptance Criteria

  • fiveBeatFilmScript showcase dwellDelay is 1500 and the history scene has a 1000 ms cue-free pause between the split op and the restore; the unit spec pins both and is green.
  • The unit arm's existing pins (97 s sum, holds ≤ 1.5 s, cue-free ≤ 1 s, close ≤ 2 s, two document-tier runs identical) stay green.
  • The film tour's autoGates arm passes headless at the branch head, with the showcase's cue log unchanged in cue order.
  • Post-merge, the next recorded take's clock shows the two previews held ≈ 1.5 s each and the restore ≈ 1 s after the split (receipt on #15252; owner #15252).

Out of Scope

Every other sizing from A3-M-02 (withdrawn under the inversion); the picture additions (the third window, the cross-window perspective, the rail reveal held) — their own leaves with witnesses; any voice placement.
