Context

Sub of #19126 (the visual-first opening), under the film epic #15252. The operator's pacing steer of 2026-09-23 (relayed by @neo-gpt-emmy, folded into #19126): the picture sets the pace; speech rides several actions and never parks them. The merged screenplay still carries the earlier plan — #19112 / PR #19115 grew a 10 s stationary hold on the born vessel (birthDwellMs: 10000 on the morph's tear-out cue) and sized the cue-free pauses to measured utterances (4.6 s after the committed birth, 3.1 s after the second window, 4.65 s after the return, 6 s on the close). The rail cue and its film-rails scene landed in #19127 / PR #19128; the native-return cue is @neo-gpt-emmy's leaf (her 2026-09-24 preflight on #19126: the native return must carry a whole stack, so it is a real engine piece, not a mover). This leaf is the part of #19126's AC-1 / AC-4 / AC-5 that does not wait for it.

The Problem

The film as it replays today parks the room four times on the opening's own pane: a 10 s hold inside the morph, then holds of 4.6 s, 3.1 s and 4.65 s after each window beat — 22 s of a still picture in the first minute, sized to lines the voice no longer speaks there. The morph (a window born and retired inside one gesture) also opens the film, so the viewer watches Metrics leave the same strip twice before anything else happens; #19126 moves it out of the opening. And the parent's AC-4 asks for a silent rehearsal receipt — per-beat durations — while the film witness prints [film-probe] auto beat N/28: <caption> with no elapsed time, so the receipt has no instrument yet.

The Architectural Reality

  • apps/workstation/tour/fiveBeatFilm.mjs is the narrative authority: scene order, targetSeconds budgets (a planning sum, not a stopwatch), pause steps that hold settled results, and cue options such as birthDwellMs on the tear-out executor (#19112's ledger: TourRunner starts a cue and its pause concurrently and awaits host settlement; the hold inside a gesture is the driver's option, default zero).
  • test/playwright/unit/apps/workstation/tour/fiveBeatFilm.spec.mjs pins the scene-id order, the budget sum (111 s, inside the 90–150 s envelope), three window births and the re-entry's source strip.
  • test/playwright/e2e/workstation/WorkstationFilmTourNL.spec.mjs replays the continuous journey on the seat's bridge and prints one [film-probe] auto beat line per step from the tour's caption stream.
  • Scene and cue ids are the dialogue's anchors (Emmy's utterances bind to them), so a reorder moves the words with the scene and must not rename anything.
  • Measured on 2026-09-23 and unchanged: a re-entry needs a surviving strip (a tabs node emptied by its last pane is removed), so the morph must run on a pane whose group keeps at least one other tab. After the rail beat Metrics is home and active in right-top-tabs beside Audit and Commits.

The Fix

Data and one log line; no executor change.

  1. Order: film-cold-open → film-tear-out → film-second-window → film-reintegration → film-rails → film-morph → film-showcase → film-perspectives-undo → film-signature. The morph plays after the rails as "change your mind — nothing happened", on Metrics out of the three-tab right group; the showcase still drags Metrics afterwards. Ids untouched.
  2. Holds: birthDwellMs 10000 → 1500 on the morph's cue (≤ 1.5 s reads as "that is a window"); the cue-free pauses after the committed birth, the second window, the return and the morph's re-entry → 1000 ms each; the cold open's 900 ms heartbeat stays; the close keeps a named 2 s hold (the living signature is an outcome the viewer reads, the cut may lengthen it).
  3. Budgets: re-cut to the removed holds and re-pinned — 3 / 10 / 14 / 12 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 10 = 93 s, inside the envelope; the header comment's show-order and sum paragraphs say what the file now does.
  4. The instrument for the rehearsal: the witness's [film-probe] auto beat line gains the elapsed milliseconds since the previous beat and since the tour started, so one replay log is the silent rehearsal receipt.
  5. Receipt: the per-beat durations from the replay at the PR head are posted on #15252 (the parent's AC-4) before any voice is placed.

Acceptance Criteria

  • AC-1 The screenplay's scene order is the one above with every scene and cue id unchanged; the unit order pin asserts it.
  • AC-2 No hold inside a gesture exceeds 1500 ms and no cue-free pause exceeds 1000 ms except the signature's close (2000 ms, named in its caption); one unit arm asserts both bounds over every scene, red on the current screenplay.
  • AC-3 The budget sum is pinned at its new value inside the 90–150 s envelope, moved in the same change.
  • AC-4 The headless film replay (WorkstationFilmTourNL.spec.mjs -g 'under autoGates') passes at the PR head on the seat's own bridge with the morph's documentsUnchanged and the rail's collapsed / revealed / restored receipts still asserted, and its log carries elapsed ms per beat.
  • AC-5 The silent rehearsal receipt — the per-beat durations from that run — is posted on #15252 before any voice is placed.

Out of Scope

  • The native-return cue and beat 4's whole-stack native return (Emmy's leaf under #19126); the pointer-driven splitter-resize beat (no cue exists yet; a later leaf); voice generation, the take and the cut (#15252).

Avoided Traps

  • Sizing a hold to a measured line again: the operator's steer inverts that; the voice is cut to the motion.
  • Renaming or re-numbering scenes to match the new order: the ids are the dialogue's anchors.
  • Running the morph on a single-tab source: its re-entry needs a surviving strip (measured 2026-09-23).

Decision Record impact

none — screenplay data and a witness log line.
