Context
#19804 merged the optional record search toolbar (Resolves #19794) at eedc33c3dd and closed epic #19791 (16:15Z). The 13.3 notes on dev still say the opposite. The header menus' honest bounds list "a grid-level search toolbar" as deferred, and What comes next promises "a grid-level search". The release cuts today (cut-prep #19765, PR #19784).
Amended at 18:28Z and 18:36Z: two grid fixes merged before the cut, #19821 (18:05Z) and #19824 (18:22Z). A sweep of everything merged since iteration 5 then found three more user-visible fixes without a line. All five defects shipped in 13.2.0, so this iteration carries their lines (item 5, AC-5) instead of a later one.
The Problem
The notes contradict the tree: they defer a feature 13.3 ships, and a reader of the release learns nothing about it.
The Fix
All changes are in .github/RELEASE_NOTES/v13.3.0.md:
13.3 in 2 Minutes gains an item for the toolbar (searchToolbar: {}), anchored to #19794.
A short chapter follows the header menus. It covers:
- the scope (this grid's columns by default, locked ones included; all record fields; one column) and the case toggle;
- the summary of header filters and of the restrictions the grid does not own;
- Clear filters, which removes only the grid's own filters;
- the Store owning the search, so two grids on one Store share it;
- visible refusal for remote and tree data;
- honest bounds: #19804's 100k receipt (input dispatch 7.3–12.1 ms, painted-row response 443.9–638.0 ms per keystroke, end to end including transport and polling), literal terms only, local data only.
The header menus' honest bounds and What comes next drop the search toolbar from their deferred lists.
What you can try gains a step that searches the showcase's Title and Summary through the toolbar, with a count read in a real browser.
Also in 13.3 gains lines for the user-visible fixes merged since iteration 5 that no iteration carried:
- #19824 (#19822): row hover across the locked seams from the first mount;
- #19821 (#19820): a destroyed grid releases its main-thread addons;
- #19788 and #19795 (#19787, #19790): a click into a grid or table header filter no longer sorts;
- #19763 (#19762): a buffered list's rows show their new records after a scroll;
- #19797 (#19778): a pane returned by its window's titlebar closes that window at adoption.
#19779 (an invisible proxy) and #19767 (a Fleet-only exception) stay in the changelog.
